Jazz Fest is a well-known event in New Orleans; tourists visit each year to enjoy the music. During this time, hotels full up quickly, so it is important to book a room way in advance. There are dozens of buildings all over the city, but only a few of them are outstanding places to stay before the performances. Location is crucial; the hotel has to be within walking distance of the festival otherwise you will not get a fantastic spot when the bands start playing. The Windsor Court Hotel is in a good area for Jazz Fest tourists, and it is also within walking distance of a casino and a shopping center.

During the fest, the streets will be crowded and everyone will be excited, so your suite will be the only place to relax. This is why choosing the right room at the Windsor Court Hotel is important; you should book one that is not facing Harrah’s casino. The casino gets very noisy at night; the sounds of people shouting and the machines beeping occur until way after 12:00am. Besides Harrah‘s, the hotel sometimes has quietness issues too; tourists’ voices may be hearable above your room whenever someone talks loudly.

Speaking of the suite, you will enjoy spending time in it before and after each Jazz Fest event. The room will have a great floral scent and unique antique furniture. While you are relaxing on the couch, you can enjoy the television, which has satellite channels; however, the signal sometimes gets lost for a few seconds in some suites. Another great thing about a few rooms is that they offer an amazing view of the Mississippi River, which can be seen from the balcony.

When the Jazz festival is over, you will still have an amazing time in New Orleans at the Windsor Court Hotel. There is a bar area near the lobby, and sometimes a piano player performs songs for guests. If drinking at the bar is not your thing, you may like the teatime event that occurs in the restaurant area instead. Teatime is not offered everyday, it is only served on the weekends; guests are served finger sandwiches, fruit pasties, scones, and of course, different flavors of tea. As for dinner, the concierge can help you find a good restaurant, and he will even make the reservation. After Jazz Fest, getting a seat in a restaurant will be difficult, but the caretaker does a great job helping guests.

If you plan to enjoy the outstanding Jazz music during the festivals, you should consider booking a suite in the Windsor Hotel. The location is ideal for the events, and the concierge does an outstanding job helping everyone find restaurants once everything is over. Even after Jazz Fest, the hotel is still a fantastic place to stay; the weekend tea time and the piano bar are nice hotel attractions.
