Alexa Hotel - New Orleans


The Alexa Hotel is not for everyone because the rooms have issues.
For day and night time tourists, it is a good place to stay because the
hotel's location is quite convenient

The Alexa Hotel is a decent hotel for people who want to tour the
city of New Orleans everyday. The suites, however, is not outstanding
because they have a few issues. The great thing about this place is that it
is connection to the Astor Crown Hotel, and everyone gets access to all its
facilities. Overall, if you plan to tour the city each day without spending
much time in your suite, the Alexa Hotel is a suitable choice.

The suites in the hotel are not elegant, so if you want to stay in a room
that has fancy furnisher and classy designs, you will not find these things
at this hotel. Instead, you will find cheap chairs, somewhat old tile on
the floors, and wallpaper on the wall that is peeling. Another negative
thing about the suites is that they are very dark, even during the day.
The darkest rooms, however, are the ones facing the courtyard, the sunlight
is completely blocked in these rooms. Despite all these issues, the rooms
are quiet, which is important to most people during there stay in New
Orleans.

For the most part, the rooms are very clean on day one, but they might not
remain that way overtime due to the housekeepers. The main issue with the
housekeepers is that they usually only clean the rooms after asked several
times. If you think your room needs cleaning, you will have to call the
front desk a few times, otherwise no one may clean your room.

There is no restaurant in the Alexa Hotel; however, there is one in the
adjoining hotel called Bourbon House. This restaurant is not a good place
to visit for breakfast; the amount of food is not great. Diner is probably
the best time to visit; the menu is decent, and the cost of the dishes is
reasonable.

Despite of the negatives issues dealing with the housekeepers and the
suites, the Alexa Hotel is still great for New Orleans tourists due to its
location. All of the cities best restaurants are only a few blocks away,
and the New Orleans Super Dome is nearby as well. In fact, if you plan to
stay at this hotel, you should plan your visit during football or basketball
season because attending either of these sporting events is good way to
spend a day or night. Since the hotel is so close to the dome, parking
will not be issue, so you can get your snacks and take your seat before the
crowds arrives.

Speaking of parking, the hotel's parking area is very expensive; it cost
around 0 for four days. You do not have to use this parking area during
your stay because there is another cheaper place to park behind the hotel.
The spaces only cost a day there; parking on this lot will help you save
money during your vacation.

The Alexa Hotel is not a good family hotel because the rooms are somewhat dark and the housekeepers do not clean everyday. This hotel is only a decent place for tourists who plan to tour the city most of the time.
