Hotel St. Marie - New Orleans


Family visiting New Orleans should consider booking a suite at
Hotel St. Marie. The location is excellent, and the pool is fantastic for
children.

Most hotels in New Orleans are geared towards people who like to
party, which is why most of the best places are found on Bourbon Street.
There are a few great family hotels in the city too; these particular hotels
are usually found away from most of the action. Not being near the
attractions in New Orleans is a good thing for families; the overall noise
that occurs at night will wake small kids whenever they are sleeping. Hotel
St. Marie
is in a fabulous spot; it is a block away from Bourbon Street.
Grownups will love walking to see the sites from the convenient location but
will appreciate the overall amount of peace that the hotel provides. Kids,
however, will enjoy swimming in the pool; it is a popular area so they will
get many chances to make new friends.

The suites at the Hotel St Marie are great; they are ideal for families after a long tour of New Orleans. During the summer in New Orleans, the weather is
extremely hot, but the air conditioners at the hotel work very well. Your
suite will be just the right temperature to help everyone cool off quickly;
other hotels' air conditioners may not work as efficiently as this one does.
The furniture is great too; the design is elegant and really blends with the
room. The important thing, however, is the furniture's overall comfort;
everybody will love relaxing on the soft chairs each day.

Some suites will have balconies overlooking the streets and others will
overlook the hotel's courtyard. Both balconies are amazing, but the street
view suites provide guests with much more to see. People who have a street
side balcony will be able to see people as they walk by below and many tall
building in the distance. The only problem will a street balcony suite is
the sounds that sometimes occur at night; random cars and the voices of
locals may be hearable, which might be an issue for light sleepers. The
courtyard, however, is a much peaceful place, so it is probably the better
choice if you want a balcony in your suite.

Speaking of the courtyard, this is the area where the swimming pool is
located along with tables and chairs. The overall area has a tropical style
landscape, which is a good change of scenery after walking through the city.
At night, the courtyard is lit up nicely, so you should consider revisiting
when the kids are sleeping.

Although New Orleans is known for its unique restaurants, you might want to
cook your own meals sometimes because it helps you save money. Across the street from the hotel is a convenient/grocery store; you can buy things to
cook there. The best thing about this store is its precooked breakfast; the
breakfast dishes costs .75 each, and your whole family will love them.

Hotel St Marie is a family type hotel; it is in a good spot, and the pool is
outstanding kids spot. It is only a block from the action, so everyone can
easily tour everyday and then quickly return to the hotel to cool off.
