There are dozens of places to order dinner in Orlando; however, there are not many places, which offer dinner and a show suitable for families. Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show, however, is a very fun family event; it consist of actors, singers, competitions, and animals rides. Out of all the events that take place at the show, most people generally like the competitions the most. The competition are entertaining and amusing, particularly the pig races. Overall, everyone has a blast at the show because everyone generally has smiles on their faces the entire time. If you plan to see the show, you might want to get there early because there is a pre-show that is well worth seeing as well.
All events take place in an arena, which is not very big, but it is a decent size for many guests. The arena generally is big enough for most animal acts, except for the horse acts. When horses enter the area and start running around, they have to stop quickly or else they will run into the wall.
The pre-show at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show is just as good as the main show; this show has great acts, such as a rope trick act. The rope trick act is amazing; the person swings the rope around and does some fantastic things; he even stands far away and lassos another person in one try. During the pre-show, staff members wander throughout the arena, and they sell popcorn, snacks, and beverages. They also sell somewhat overpriced souvenirs; some people buy them but other does not.
The main show is outstanding, and the entertainers make audience members participate as well. Everyone is divided into two teams, the North team and the South team. After the teams are formed, everyone competes in various events such as pig races, horse drawn carriages races, and even ostrich races. The pig races are the most fun and hilarious event; it is amusing watching people try to control their pigs during the race.
After the Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show is over, Dolly Parton comes out to entertain the audience; the bad thing is that she only performs one song. Even though she only sings one song, visitors still leave the arena feeling happy.
Once the entire show is over, everybody gets to order dinner; the food is good; however, it is not gourmet type food. Items such as juicy chicken, hot soup, and delicious pasta are what most people order after the show; the dishes are not elegantly prepare, but they are very filling.
Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show is a fantastic attraction for Orlando tourists because the food is good, and the shows are fun. Getting there early is a good idea because the pre-show is quite entertaining, and it is nice warm-up for the big show. The activities that take place during the main show are amusing and fun to watch, and kids absolutely love them. Overall, all families should see the show at least once because it is an incredible way to spend the day in Orlando.
