Disney parks are great parks to visit during the summer because they are filled with fun attractions. When most people visit Disney World, they usually stop by Disney’s MGM Studios because the shows are fantastic. MGM Studios is not a big place, which is a good thing for people on tight schedules. Many people love the park, but some individuals compare it to Universal Studios, which is understandable because they are both movie-based theme parks. A few people do not like the fact that Disney’s MGM attractions are dated. Universal Studios attractions, however, are more current, which is why some people generally like Universal’s park a bit more than Disney’s park. Overall, Disney MGM Studio is still a good park worth visiting even though most of the attractions are not brand new.
Disney MGM Studios has quite a few interesting shows, but the Indiana Jones Spectacular show is a crowd favorite. This show is just like watching a movie, and the stunts are unbelievable. In fact, when most people see the stunts that the actors perform, their mouths drop.
Tower or Terror, however, is probably the most popular ride at the park, and it takes guts to ride it. It is not a ride for kids because it is very, very scary even before the actual ride starts. Before the ride begins, everyone enters an old hotel that is dark and spooky and then a creepy bellman greets everybody. He then opens the elevator door and tells everyone to step inside and short afterwards, the doors close. The elevator then travels up and up an old elevator shaft very slowly. When the elevator finally reaches the top, it moves forwards. After that, everyone just wait and wait and then the elevator quickly drops down several stories and then stops, goes back up again and drops again. This routine repeats a number of times, and the overall amount of drops varies each time the ride is ridden.
Another fun attraction is called Lights, Camera, Motor, Stunt Show, and it consists of vehicles, flames, and pyrotechnics. Although the show is interesting to watch, it is not ideal for kids because the entire show is very, very loud. Kids will have a better time seeing an attraction such as the fun and entertaining Muppet Show.
As for food, Prime Time restaurant is worth checking out because it has a 1950’s theme. All of the dishes served there are from the 50’s era; the menu consists of things such as meat loaf and pot roast. The staff is nice too; they treat everyone like that are guests in their home.
Before leaving the park, it would be a good idea to visit the history of Disney attraction and the giant Disney Hat. The history attraction is a fun way to learn about the park and everything related to Disney, and the giant hat is a fantastic place to take a memorable photo.
Disney MGM Studio in Orlando may not be as up to date as Universal Studio’s park, but it still is a fantastic place worth visiting.
